Request a Free Bed for Your Kids
St. Joseph Libertyville and Sleep in Heavenly Peace is always eager to help families in need, particularly ones whose kids have uncomfortable sleeping arrangements. Unfortunately, we can only help families who are in our service area. Therefore, you must fit the following criteria to receive one of our bunkbeds:
Location
You must be in our service area or in one of the other SHP Chapters service area. Currently we are servicing Lake and northern Cook Counties.
Bedding Environment
You must have an accessible house or apartment with room large enough to fit one of our beds
Application
You will need to go online and fill out the form a https://www.shpbeds.org/request a bed. If bed application is accepted you will need to sign an Indemnification Release Form when the bed is delivered. If you cannot fill out the form call us and we will help you fill one out.
Ways to Request Free Beds
You can request in of two ways:
You can rquest a bed for your children or you can request a bed for someone else, referring a family. If you are referring we ask that you include your information so we can share this experience with you.
Bed Recipient
To qualify as a bed recipient, you must be the legal guardian of the child or children receiving the bed. Please go to www.SHPBEDS.ORG/request a bed
Referral
Referring a family for a bed is a big responsibility. Generally, it is through referrals that we find the families who need our beds the most. If you’re a referral, please fill out the forms and submit them We also need the ability to reach people who refer a family via phone or text.
Selecting a Recipient
Unfortunately there may be a bigger demand that beds available. We can’t guarantee that every applicant will get a bed.
