2022 Summer Mission Appeal – Welcome Father Joseph Mulligan from Nicaragua

St. Joe’s welcomes Father Joseph Mulligan, SJ from Nicaragua, our missionary guest for the 2022 Summer Mission Appeal. Father Joe will be presiding at all masses the weekend of Aug. 20 and 21.

Father Joe will share stories about his missionary work and his ministry to the sick and to people with disabilities in the poor neighborhoods of Managua, Nicaragua’s capital. Through his Accompaniment Ministry, Fr. Mulligan gives personal and pastoral support to more than 70 persons with various disabilities – especially the blind and people with motor disabilities. He meets with each person regularly, shares conversation, and provides financial assistance for healthcare related costs and for basic living expenses.

Fr. Mulligan’s work is supported by his Jesuit province and by caring and concerned people like you. Fr. Mulligan and the people he serves would be very grateful for your prayers and material support for his Fund for the Disabled in Nicaragua.
