Candidates received at Rite of Elect, Call to Continuing Conversion on March 1

The rite, part of the process of the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults, allows those preparing to enter the Church fully at Eastertime to commit before the assembly and the bishop that they choose freely to follow Christ and want become his disciple. The group also toured the downtown offices of the Archdiocese of Chicago, which used to be the former Quigley North Seminary building on Rush Street. Those entering in the adult process are Scott Dotson, Danielle Wunroe, Nathan Doty, Kelly Melcher, Sarah McAuliffe and Sean Walker. Those in the RCIA for Children’s program are Christopher and Leodani Abarca and Paige Gleason.
