While attendance at weekend masses has slowly increased, it is still tracking well below pre-pandemic levels. A committee has been formed by Fr. Trout to review the 7 weekend masses at St Joseph and make a recommendation for potential schedule changes by this Fall. The recommendation will address the number of masses offered each weekend along with when and where the masses will be celebrated. There are no changes planned to the weekday masses or Saturday 8:30 am mass schedule at this time. Changes are being considered for 2 primary reasons:
We want to create a vibrant worship experience at all masses. Gathering in-person will build stronger connections with our Lord and among each other, supporting our mission to be a thriving and growing parish.
Our pastoral and ministry resources are strained. Our current schedule requires over 120 ministers to support all the scheduled masses and we continually struggle to have enough ministers to support each mass.
Before recommending any changes to the weekend mass schedule, obtaining feedback from St. Joseph parishioners during the review process is vitally important. We’d appreciate you taking 5 minutes to complete this short, anonymous survey. Please note the survey will conclude on July 23rd.
