But during that time block on February 9, St. Joseph parishioner Mac McCullough and other Community for the Kingdom members learned how people can work toward positive change in our world toward ending racism, starting with hearing each other’s stories.
McCullough shared, during an online interview he gave about being Catholic and black, his struggles with racism in his life, and his challenge for his fellow parishioners to “get back to the basics” and have truthful conversations with their family and friends about the issue.
The interview was part of an all-member event for Community for the Kingdom small groups who are concluding a five-month study of the U.S. bishops’ letter on the problem of racism,
Open Wide Our Hearts.
