In July 2021, the Social Justice Commission and the International Sharing Ministry at St. Joseph Catholic Church contributed $7,500 to the renovations of the chapel in the village where I was born in Colombia. A
video of the village inhabitants explaining the work to be done was posted on the Youtube channel of the parish.
Since then, the work is almost done. The financial accounting has been presented back to the Commission and the people in the village are finishing the new pews. I want to express my gratitude to the parishioners and leaders of St. Joseph Catholic Church for their generosity with the people of Plan de Armas, Colombia. I am sure that this renovated chapel will enhance the faith and spirituality of the community and neighboring villages. Now the people awaits. I hope that a small delegation from St. Joe's will be able to come and visit them. More details will be shared in the near future. May God bless you and keep your faith strong!
