The 2021-2022 PADS season is right around the corner and we have lots of opportunities for you to get invovled!
Lots of things have changed in the last two years, but one thing that remains the same is it takes a village to run this shelter. We are grateful for your continued support.
The biggest change is that our shelter will now operate from 5 PM on WEDNESDAYS until 6 AM on THURSDAYS instead of Tuesday.
We are grateful for the flexibity of the First Presbyterian Church of Libertyville's congregation & session in making this change. The change was requested by PADS Lake County so that they could accomodate more shelter nights.
It's unclear how close to pre-pandemic capacity we will be. At this point, we are planning on a doubled capacity from the 2020-2021 season so anticpate serving 40 guests each week. But of course, those numbers can change
The season starts WEDNESAY, October 5, 2022 and runs through Wednesay, April 26, 2023.
In addition to the shits on this schedule, we are in need of:
-groups to set up
-people to contribute food each week (perishable & non perishable)
-groups or people to make lunches
-groups or peopel to provide the main meal
