Parishioners and guests gathered on Zoom to see how Pope Francis is calling disciples to be a church of brothers and sisters by looking at the Holy Father’s own pastoral work.
During The Universal Us in Action, participants joined Fr. Trout and presenters, Professors Robert O’Gorman from Loyola University and Paul Dokecki of Vanderbilt Peabody College to read and discuss a case study on the pope’s work at a parish in Argentina, reaching beyond the parish’s campus and going out to the people suffering the most.
Participants then broke into small groups to share their reflections on Pope Francis’ work, what the word “mission” means to them and how St. Joseph will put these ideas into action in and around their community.
