February 27, 2021A new pair of socks, word search books and a few snacks were just some of the treats this year’s Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults group provided for their group service project.
Candidates and team members pooled together purchased and new donated items to create more than 130 “Blessing Bags” for residents living at Manor Care Health Services in Libertyville. Many residents have had to remain in isolation in their rooms and apartments to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus.
Additional bags were made and given to Catholic Charities’ Meals on Wheels program and the parish's food pantry.
