Bed Ministry Partners With Rockford ComEd's Tools of the Trade

The Bed Ministry, in collaboration with the Boys and Girls Club of Rockford, UCAN, and the participants of ComEd's Tools of the Trade workforce training program, joined forces with their ComEd mentors to create twin-sized bedframes for children in need. This service project not only allowed ComEd's trainees to enhance their construction tool skills but also enabled them to contribute their newfound expertise to a meaningful cause. Mayor McNamara was present to kickstart the project. Tools of the Trade is a 7-week job readiness program designed to introduce high school students to the realm of skilled trades and utility work.
