Hello! Thank you all for your warm welcome to this parish. I am grateful for the opportunity to work with you.
A little about me/my family:
I am the mother of three creative daughters, two of whom stayed in the south while one opted to move north with my husband and me. Tim and I have been married for 26 years and tend to be fairly active people. We love soccer and long hikes, and have a good appreciation for history.
Although I started my career teaching in Catholic schools, I have spent the last 16 years in the Raleigh area of North Carolina, where I worked for St. Mary, Mother of the Church Catholic Church. During that time I got to know the community first as the Youth Minister and then as the Director of Religious Education. I also earned my Master Catechist certificate from the Raleigh diocese and completed my Master of Pastoral Studies in ecology and religion from Loyola in New Orleans.
St. Mary's is a diverse parish and I had the opportunity to work with many communities. Additionally, I volunteer with the National Tekakwitha Conference, an organization dedicated to promoting catechesis in Native American communities. These experiences have given me a wide view of the world and the people in it. I look forward to expanding that further as I meet and work with you!
