Several gathered for a special college sendoff Mass on Sunday, August 7.
Fr. Martin told the college students to focus on the 3 Bs- Believe, Belong and Behave. Believe that God loves you, he'll take care of you, and he holds your future. Open wide your heart and accept what God is communicating to you. We belong to a faith community; look for a parish when you get to school that will support, encourage, and pray for you. And finally, you are a child of God, and you have to behave like one. What you say, how you act, what you stand for, what you stand against must reflect your faith in God. God asked that in everything you do, put God first. When you put God first, he'll do the heavy lifting for you.There are many destructions to your faith in college, but if you know who you are and understand that you're a child of God, you will succeed.
