This weekend at Mass, we will watch a special video message from Cardinal Blase Cupich highlighting the importance of the 2025 Annual Catholic Appeal. The Annual Catholic Appeal is an invitation for every Catholic family to respond with a generous heart. Your gift will provide inspiration, education and services to the less fortunate in our Archdiocese and throughout the world. As we pray during these days, we carry many intentions in our hearts. Cardinal Cupich asks us to reflect on three: blessings for our nation after the elections, a commitment to continue on the path of journeying together as a Church, and guidance for the renewal and revitalization of our parishes here in the Archdiocese of Chicago.
These prayers are united by a common thread, a plea for hope. The Appeal theme, "Together we bring hope," and the Holy Year theme, "Pilgrims of hope," remind us that hope is a gift from God that empowers us to take responsibility for our Church, world, and families. Hope is also a gift we share with others through our generosity and care.
Following the video, there will be a collection during Mass for the Annual Catholic Appeal. Your contribution will be a blessing for many people in need and a source of grace for you and your loved ones.
