Clergy Appreciation Weekend will be celebrated on October 8 – 9.
To our beloved priests, Fr. Trout, Fr. Martin, Fr. Emanuel, Fr. Kartje, Fr. Hennessey and our Deacons, Dennis Mudd, George Kashmar and Dan Coughlin and all of the clergy and seminarians who serve our parish: THANK YOU.
Thank you for your love of Christ and the Church. Thank you for bringing us the sacraments. Thank you for your sacrifices, dedication and devotion. Thank you for praying for us and with us. Thank you for your homilies that inform and instruct us. Thank you for your patience and understanding, guidance and direction. Thank you for supporting our children and grandchildren at St. Joseph School and in religious education. Thank you for all that you do.
Prayer for our Priests, Deacons and Seminarians Gracious and loving God, we thank you for the gift of our priests, deacons and seminarians. Through them, we experience your presence in the sacraments. Help our clergy to be strong in their vocation. Set their souls on fire with love for your people. Grant them the wisdom, understanding and strength they need to follow in the footsteps of Jesus. Inspire them with the vision of your kingdom. Give them the words they need to spread the Gospel. Allow them to experience joy in their ministry. Help them to become instruments of your divine grace. We ask this through Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns as our Eternal Priest. Amen. Please be sure to express your personal gratitude to our priests, deacons and seminarians.
Please pray for our priests and deacons always and especially on Clergy Appreciation Weekend. Tell them, thank you, and send them a note or a card. Let them know they are appreciated. Don’t forget to include our seminarians in your thoughts, prayers and expressions of gratitude.
