Imagine what would have happened to our parish over the past year and a half without the help and support of our St. Joseph clergy: - No live-stream or drive-in Masses. - Our church and school delayed in reopening. - Access to the sacraments limited. - No one to pray over us in sickness and in death. We owe our priests and deacons a debt of gratitude for these and the many other actions they took to serve our faith community. During this year’s Clergy Appreciation Weekend October 9 - 10, the Vocations Ministry invites everyone to express their gratitude for all that our clergy does to serve St. Joseph Faith Community: Tell them “thank you”, offer a prayer, send a note or a card. Let them know you care. Gracious and loving God, we thank you for the gift of our priests and deacons. Through them, we experience your presence in the sacraments. Help our clergy to be strong in their vocation. Set their souls on fire with love for your people. Grant them the wisdom, understanding and strength they need to follow in the footsteps of Jesus. Inspire them with the vision of your kingdom. Give them the words they need to spread the Gospel. Allow them to experience joy in their ministry. Help them to become instruments of your divine grace. We ask this through Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns as our Eternal Priest. Amen.
