If you’ve been following the news, you’re likely aware of the ongoing revelations about sexual abuse within the Catholic Church. From the Pennsylvania grand jury findings to the shocking reports about former Cardinal McCarrick and other clergy, these revelations have been deeply painful and unsettling for many.
At St. Joseph Church, we share in the anger, grief, and frustration that these stories have sparked. The abuse and subsequent cover-ups have raised many difficult questions within our community: How could this happen? Who knew? What does this mean for us now? We’ve felt the weight of disappointment and heartache, and we know many of you have too.
In the midst of these difficult emotions, it’s important to create space for open, honest, and compassionate conversations. We’ve gathered resources to help our community reflect, process, and seek understanding during this time.
