Our Community Dinner event served 82 people accompanied by a delightful musical performance. Peter Brush and Michael Mahany graced us with their singing and guitar and piano playing. Our dedicated volunteers prepared and served the food, fostering a wonderful time as we connected wtih fellow attendees.
Dave Wilms' presentation, on Solar Power -- Harnessing Mother Nature's Gift, September 21st had 21 folks turned out to hear about the benefits and savings of using solar as well as the importance of using solar power to reduce our dependence on fossil fuel.
Our Food Pantry operates from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, six days a week, with the exception of Tuesdays when we are closed. Our dedicated volunteers contribute their time to a variety of tasks. Fantasy Foodball Draft Day was a huge success with 14 participants rallying together to raise $210 in support of acquiring a refrigerated food van for the food pantry.
Our Bed Ministry had delivered 1,600 beds to children in Lake County. The Bed Ministry will be scheduling bed builds soon and these sessions will take place at the old shop #126 situated at the rear of the Formation Center.
