The photo to the right is of Lissette Robello from Nicaragua who has been visiting family here in Libertyville for the past two months, and Marial Corona, a member of the Consecrated Women of Regnum Christi and a member of our parish.
Lissette has been attending Eucharistic Adoration each Thursday afternoon while here in Libertyville. Lissette is not fluent in English and therefore unable to pray along to the Rosary and the Divine Chaplet. She asked if she could instead sing her praises to the Blessed Sacrament exposed in the monstrance. Each week she has sung a hymn, in Spanish, during the period of silence between the end of the prayers of the Rosary and the beginning of the Divine Chaplet. Her beautiful voice can be heard on the live-stream videos archived on the parish web site.
When asked why she is so devoted to Eucharistic Adoration Lissette's reply was, "It comes from my soul." She is a Extraordinary Minister of the Eucharist and a Minister of Care back at her parish in Nicaragua. May we all have the faith and devotion to the Lord, present in the Eucharist, that Lissette has.
Join us for Eucharistic Adoration at our parish every Thursday afternoon from 3:00 to 4:00 PM and from 3:00 to 7:00 PM the third Thursday of each month.
