Golden Rose Award Recipient

Please join us in congratulating this year's Golden Rose award recipient, Katie Dutton. The Golden Rose Awards were presented to the candidates on Feb. 6, 2022, by the Most Reverend Jeffrey Grob, Bishop of Vicariate 1, at a special Mass at 3pm at St. Mary of the Annunciation, Mundelein. Recipients of this award have shown leadership, portrayed spirituality, and gone above and beyond in a service project.

Katie is a senior in high school and has been involved with the youth group and teen mission trip throughout high school. She is also a proclaimer, EOM, and a sacristan. She helps with the after school program at St. Joseph School and works as a camp counselor at a Catholic summer camp in southern Illinois (Camp Ondessonk). She will be going to St. Norbert College next year to pursue a double major in Sociology and Theology.
