Jesus: The Healer of Hearts

Children’s Faith Formation families gathered on January 29 to heal their hearts through Jesus’ mercy during this year’s First Reconciliation service.

Each of the children brought with them a paper heart that was part of their kit for the winter sessions and showed it to Fr. Trout.

Listening to his instructions, the children tore their hearts, showing how sin can break our hearts and our relationship with God. But, through the sacrament of Reconciliation, Jesus’ healing power forgives us and can mend our broken hearts. To show their sins were forgiven, the children mended their hearts with a band-aide.
