Jesus said to them in reply, “Go and tell John what you hear and see: the blind regain their sight, the lame walk, lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the poor have the good news proclaimed to them. And blessed is the one who takes no offense at me.”
-Matthew 11:4-6
When Jesus hears John’s question, he sends his disciples with this message. Jesus points to the good fruit and lives transformed as a result of John’s faithful preaching and ministry. John didn’t accomplish the miracles, but he prepared the way for them to happen. Like John the Baptist, we prepare the way for Jesus to transform lives. We do the possible and then Jesus does the impossible. We prepare the way so that Jesus can perform the miracles in people’s lives. Pray today about how you can prepare the way for others to connect with Jesus.
