October 18, 2016We are accepting donations for The Franciscan House of Mary and Joseph. This is an overnight shelter in Chicago with 250 beds that also offer showers, breakfast and dinner.
Soap is scarce for the guests at this shelter and is equivalent to gold. Perhaps you have items left over from a former hotel stay you can share. We are looking for donations of the following items:
Toothpaste and toothbrushes
Razors and shaving cream
Deodorant (men’s and women’s)
Lotion
Bar Soap
Shampoo
Feminine Hygiene Products
Ground coffee, cream and sugar
Spices, especially Kosher Salt
Condiments: Ketchup, Mustard, Mayonnaise
Coats, warm and in good condition, Adult sizes only
New Men’s underwear, Medium thru 2X
New Men’s Crew Neck T-shirts L-3X
New Women’s Underwear all sizes
Bras all sizes but especially 36-38
Socks men’s and women’s
New or gently used towels (no beach towels)
Twin size blankets
Underwear- Men’s underwear – sizes: M, L, XL, 2X, and a few 3X
- Men’s crew neck T-shirts – sizes: L, XL, 2X, and a few 3X
- Women’s underwear – sizes: S, M, L, 2X, 3X
- Bras – all sizes, but especially 36-38 (B, C, & D cup)
- Socks – men’s and women’s
This is a great way to share any extra hotel toiletries you may have accumulated. Thank you for any help you can provide!
