Holy Week is the week before Easter, beginning with Palm Sunday and ending on Holy Saturday, which is the day before Easter Sunday. Holy Week is the most important week in the Church year. It is a time when we celebrate in a special way the life, death and resurrection of Jesus. We remember his actions, reflect on his messages, and recommit to living as his disciples in the world today.
Lent is a season of prayer and fasting before Easter. The season lasts 46 days and during this time, Catholics attend Mass and Reconciliation, make personal sacrifices, and perform additional acts of penance.
