Faith is a gift. When the disciples asked Jesus to increase their faith, they were going to the source of that faith with their request. God is the giver of all good gifts, including faith.
Through September 26 our parishioners have generously donated $14,602 to the Seminarian Education collection. The Seminarian Fund provides support for the training and education of men studying for priesthood in the Archdiocese of Chicago.
School is back in session; Cub Scouts are back in session. The Pack 60 Cub Scouts opened the 2022-2023 scouting year with the ‘recycle regatta’. We welcomed new and returning scouts who created floating masterpieces propelled by human-powered air flow and using only recycled materials.
At the end of the summer, 15 Scouts and 8 adult leaders from Troop 60 canoed and kayaked eight miles on the Kishwaukee River outside of Rockford, IL. Our Troop learned about canoe & kayak safety as well as navigating through a river with rapids and by landmarks.
